This album is my contribution to the loudness war.

I came home from work after work one night and said to myself... "I wonder what happens if you keep brickwall limiting a sound over, and over, and over, and over again". Three hours later, this had happened.

The single audio source for this recording is a sample of some children singing that I had recorded off a 7 Inch a few days earlier. No additional instruments or synthesizers were used. During the first track, approximately 15 digital limiters in series are applied gradually to the sound, each reducing the dynamics by approximately 30dB.

After 8 or so minutes of this torture, there is very little of the original sample still recognisable. This was all I had planned when I started out, but I was enjoying myself by this point. The second track is essentially a live take of me adding a variety of effects and modulating their parameters until total chaos ensues.

The final section of the album is the mellow part of the record, adding layers of reverb, taking the edge off the noise and leaving a blissful drone.
